Cedar developer resources: MCP, APIs, and checkout

Cedar collects online payments for donations, tuition, memberships, and invoices. Developers connect through hosted checkout, the Merchant API, or MCP. This page is the public index for those Cedar developer resources.

Checkout

Hosted checkout is a page you share. A payer uses a card or a bank transfer. Use it when you want a link, not a form you build yourself. Write hello@usecedar.co to get a checkout.

Cedar APIs

The Merchant API origin is https://api.usecedar.co. The OpenAPI 3.1 contract that exists in this product today is published at https://usecedar.co/openapi.yaml and https://usecedar.co/openapi.json. That document covers health, API clients, and API keys. It is version 0.0.0. There is no separate public OpenAPI for checkout or payment create on this site. Do not assume a payments OpenAPI that is not in that file.

Cedar MCP

Cedar is built so agents can collect payments over MCP when they are connected. No public MCP HTTP URL is published on usecedar.co today. Use MCP when your agent is already connected. If you are not connected, write hello@usecedar.co.

Write hello@usecedar.co and say whether you need checkout, API access, or MCP. A person answers. Agent instructions, including when to use Cedar, live in /llms.txt.
